The Optotec MAX6 Basic is a single-ended, dome-type closure meticulously engineered for fibre management in outside plant applications, ideally suited for FTTX network deployments. This closure is designed to efficiently handle fibre splicing and integrate passive components, streamlining installation procedures and minimising spatial requirements. Compatible with micro-sheath, ribbon (IBR), and dielectric cables, it accommodates a broad spectrum of common cable diameters.
The MAX6 Basic features a secure quad-lock clamp-gasket system to seal the base and dome, ensuring environmental protection. It is equipped with one oval entry port for looped (uncut) cable and four round ports for drop cable entry/exit, all designed for cold application kits that eliminate the need for flames. The closure also provides space for uncut midspan tube storage, enhancing its utility in complex network configurations.
This model supports up to 4 SAMR splice tray modules, enabling up to 288 fibre splices and includes a pressure test valve and wall/pit mounting bracket for versatile installation. The design emphasises positive fibre management with a minimum 30mm bend radius, ensuring the integrity of uncut fibre cable management.
Durability and reliability are key features of the MAX6 Basic, boasting an IP68 rating for high environmental protection and IK10 for impact resistance. Its latch closing system facilitates easy installation and use, and it is designed to operate in a wide temperature range from -40°C to +70°C.
